The Heuchera Amethyst Myst, ‘Heuchera x Amethys Myst,’ is also known as the Coral Bell or Alumroot.
This plant has unique, deep purple foliage that is dusted with silver, unlike the other burgundies of its family. During the spring, its light pink flowers will appear, remaining into the summer. However, these plants are more known for their lovely foliage than their blooms. They look especially great in borders, woodland edges, rock gardens or in mass to form a ground cover.
This plant is perfect for a beginning gardener. |

The Hardy Ice Plant Mersa Verde, ‘Delosperma Mersa Verde,’ is a fantastic ground cover that produces single, dark salmon pink blooms. Its foliage is a succulent looking deep green and is extremely shiny.
This plant will grow to a height of two feet with a spread of up to twelve inches. It will prefer dry and sandy soils, and does not like wet soils in the winter. Under hot conditions, the flowers will bloom for most of the summer and require little to no care. This plant looks great as a ground cover in a rock garden. |

The Petunia Supertunia® Mini Blue Veined, ‘Petunia hybrids,’ is very low in maintenance and brilliantly colored. The beautiful blue veined flowers grow on a vigorously trailing plant. These everblooming plants are long-living and come from Australia. Providing long term color in full sunlight throughout the season, these plants can grow nearly an inch a day. Ample moisture must be provided for these fast growing plants. Deadheading is not required for these plants to continue blooming, and they rarely get leggy. In zones nine through eleven, this plant can be used as a perennial. |
